googling for teachers
so for the entire night i have been googling for my favorite teachers. i found my reading teacher, mrs. kammerer, in new jersey of all places (i am in florida). she teaches at marlboro middle school and makes 71,500 per year!

i am amazed that i was able to find this information all from a google search!

omg, i win the internet sleuth prize for all time. we just found jodie sweetin's personal e-mail address, like at her university. the one and only stephanie tanner of full house fame. NO. JOKE. i hope this is as important and wonderful to you guys as it is to me and i am not just a huge loser. kyla and i are like, crying with laughter over how to use this appropriately. the opportunity to e-mail her is like so choice. i want to write her and offer to pay for her fly here to come speak at UD. we have a sorority with our friend stacy, ΤΣΣ (tau sigma sigma, TSS) and i want her to come party with us. stephanie tanner? "gag me with a spoon"?! "how rude"?! i can't remember the last time i've laughed so hard, i'm sick with it.

so i am taking this class at UD, engl 300, texts & contexts. usually it is a snooze of a class all about literary theory and such. but! i am taking a section of it called texts & TECHNOLOGICAL contexts. which means, obviously, the internet. so the requirements of the class include THREE WEBSITES that we must author and publish on the internet, ONE OF THEM PERSONAL. i am like, faint of heart over this because there are THIRTY-FIVE people in the class, which means i will have personal, internet-searchable, 24-7-52-365 accessible material of whatever quality of THIRTY-FOUR of my classmates. i could not be more excited if i tried, particularly because one girl already has a website and so she posted it and i went and she has a blog that is really boring but still good reading of course and about roleplaying and gaming and uninteresting shit like that, but hot damn delta gamm! there are also PICTURES OF HER AND HER FRIENDS, her writing portfolio, and tons of her "artwork." i must admit upfront that i do not even know her name, but discovering this has been great just the same!

today vegetables... TOMORROW THE WORLD!!!
I have just added a couple of really great looking kid's books to my amazon wishlist so I don't forget to check them out at the library, whenever I happen to get to the library.

Does anyone remember the following:

Louis Sachar
Lynne Reid Banks
Jerry Spinelli
James Howe
Scott O'Dell

and how great they were (are) when we were young?

SERIOUSLY. I have decided to write children's books. I consider this revelation to be a message from my wonderful dog Sasa the Rusty, a dachshund, who I miss so much, who died one year ago today.

I am obsessed right now with buying all the books in James Howe's Bunnicula series, including the new ones he wrote starring Howie the Dachshund (who also stars in my LJ icon), INCLUDING the Howie book he wrote as a parody to Harry Potter!

Now that... takes sleuthing.

so my new plan to get filthy rich is to open up a private detective agency in which i will charge exorbitant amounts of money to find out information on people, when in actuality i will just google search and type up official looking documents about my findings.
6:27 pm
of COURSE i'm gonna join this community, no doubt. speaking of sleuthing, i was doing some googling last night and then i had a dream about it! i woke up very confused and thinking i had found really important information when i hadn't and it wasn't until i was in the middle of brushing my teeth that i realized it was a dream. that happens to me a lot, but only recently has it been happening with internet stuffs!

p.s. glad to be here, sally this was a great idea!

totally weird! today my boyfriend adrian ziemkowski searched for his name on google and found some guy named gordon ziemkowski, who looks kinda like his grandpa, but as far as he knows, isn't related. i totally think adrian should email this dude and find out if he is a long-lost relative.
6:34 pm
well, i wrote a whole thing but i am a doof and i didn't add myself to post properly so i lost it all. of course! i would like to give my first tip: go to google and enter something like, as a model dover+high+delaware. a lot of what you get will be official-type stuff, but occasionally there will be personal websites from graduates or current students, which is a real jackpot. particularly because sometimes they will have guestbooks or something signed by other graduates or current students who also have websites. fabulous!

i would also like to note that this community is not for people who are actually stalking anyone or doing surreptitious surveillance of others. that is creepy and wrong and, of course, illegal and not condoned by me nor by this community in the least. this is just for internet sleuthing. in other words, that includes creative use of the internet, livejournal, and search engines to: entertain oneself by finding publically-posted information about acquaintances present and former; legitimately attempt to find and contact long-lost friends and such; find things and people of personal significance; generally just screw around online and waste time trying to learn about people and the things they do. this community will not entail anything that's against the law or violates general social acceptability beyond the confines of human curiosity and interest. that's all!
